I am planning to buy a bracelet for my cousin and I would like to know how strong is commercial pure titanium. He does not like sterling. Your input would be great.
P.S. is grade 5 Ti better than grade 1 pure?

"Pure" titanium? Well, I couldn’t tell you since pure titanium isn’t used for much of anything, so I don’t keep up with it…the most common titanium alloy 6AL-4V (about 90% titantium) has a tensile strength of @ 135,000 psi, and a yield strength of @ 125,000 psi. Hope that helps.
