Pain-free with Magnet Therapy is an excellent introduction to the field of magnet therapy. This book is a good starting point for anyone who wants to use magnets to treat a health condition: use it to sort out fact from fiction when it comes to assessing the claims of magnet manufacturers and salespeople. Lara Owen has done a great deal of research and in this book describes in plain English what science knows about magnets and what they can and cannot do. Yet Owen does not exclude the tantalizing possibilities that haven't yet been researched but are suggested by the stories of people who have tried magnets. The book is also interesting because Owen explores the idea that as we come to understand magnet therapy better, we'll gain clues needed to understand other mysterious therapies: acupuncture, homeopathy, reflexology and similar medical systems that rely on energetic, rather than biochemical, intervention. After reading this book, I can unreservedly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to work with magnets for pain relief and self-healing with knowledge and confidence.

I ordered this book used. Before the book arrived, I found out that I could read nearly 50% of this book online for free on the garry null website. It was too late to cancel my order, but I did not regret buying this book. The other 50% of this book which cannot get for free online is stories from different doctors and patients sharing their experiences, and also references with small summaries to different types of research done on magnet therapy. I really enjoyed this book. It is good for people with little or average knowledge about magnet therapy. I give it 3 stars only because I don't think it's on par with the quality of his other books like "Get Healthy Now!" Also, I think this book is a bit dated, but still worth having.
Healing with magnets is absurd. There is no scientific basis for there working and any effects anyone feels are in there mind or due to the natural ups and downs people go through in how they feel. The magnetic field laboratory in Florida has magnets that produce fields of up to 14 Tesla (a much larger field than anything in this kit can produce) and the people working there do not even notice them. Please, bring on your criticisms so I can guide you onto the right path.
It's got all the basics, how strong the magnets should be, why get a unipolar one (because the North side of the magnet is the one usually used for healing and the South pole side increases swelling, tissue acidity, promotes anxiety etc) It mentions Davis and Rawls and their studies on magnet so I will be checking their book Magnetism and Its Effects on the Living System
I have been intensely studying about magnets for over a year and found this book very beneficial. I would rate it as no. 1 or 2 of the probably 15 or more books on this subject.
Very informative and interesting to learn, what magnets can do for you.I will recommend this book to all my customers. I sell magnetic jewelery and need to know as much as possible about them and this book give much info. Mindy
