I would like to know if there are and Pain Management Doctors in Northern Colorado who use pharmaceutical medication in treatment? I have degenerative disc disease, as well as 3 herniated discs. I have tried accupucture, cortizone shots, muscle relaxers, and physical therapy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you would rather email me your reply, you can reach me at tannerdallas32@hushmail.com. thanks everyone.

I am curious and would like others opinions.
I have been dealing with throbbing pain since a accident when a very early teen. Over 20 years now.
I had yet another accident within the last 3-4 years. Causing another host of painful outcomes.
Anyhoo I have been talking with others who do not understand that I do not take so many pain killers as to be "out of it". These people do not understand. The group of peeps (it is a medication group) seam to think one should not feel any pain what so ever at anytime!
I am curious how many people think it is OK to feel....pain. I mean when it gets real bad I do take something. I am deathly afraid of being (or getting) addicted to pain killers!! I have kids that need me. I see how other people are and do not want to be this way.
At the moment if I went to the doctors for my arms (tennis elbow? I have RA) I would have to have very painful injections with needle.
My motto Pain is just a way to no you are alive.....
What is your opinion?
I thought I would add I do have a seizure disorder which makes some pain killers off limits to me.
RA is rheumatoid arthritis, some mornings I can not walk, move.

My wife was prescribed high doses of Hydrocodone over a period of three years, due to multiple back surgeries. Now it seems as the pain management doctors are asking her to just stop her meds and deal with the detox. She is also a heart patient and can't take normal stress related symtoms as others may be able to endure.

I feel like my doctor has done all he can do and my RSD is flaring up again after another knee surgery. I know I signed an agreement with them that I wouldn't see 2 doctors at the same time, but can't I at least talk to another pain doctor? I just want to talk to them, he is rxing me medication at the moment that is working good enough.
But, I don't want to be on medication my whole life, so I wanted to get a second opinion. Is this allowed??

doctors even though they tell them they are currently seeing one and have a contract with him/her stating that they are not receiving any pain medication from any other doctor?
Has anyone had this experience or knows of someone who has?
Thank you for your answers.

I have a chronic back ailment and have lost my insurance after 6 years of treatment , mostly with medicine and physical therapy. I moved home to Louisiana after losing my inurance and going thru a divorce, finding myself with less money, alot of pain ,no help with the bills and doctors telling me to go to a pain clinic . The ones i have talked to so far are either too expensive (600 monthly) or insurance only.
