What is the difference between Titanium and Silver Jewelry?

I just bought a bracelet for my boyfriend that is titanium, but he already has a silver one, and I don't want him to think I'm being cheap or that its a knockoff. I have no clue because I don't really own any jewerly. Help.

Titanium is a metal that is harder than steel. It is the second most abundant substance found on Earth, next to silicon dioxide. (sand). Silver is a much more rare metal, and is considered "Precious" metal.
